Get the most from your
inspection by doing the following:
- Make every effort to ensure the utilities are on, so their operation
can be checked
- Clear obstructions away from accesses, electrical plugs & switches, foundations,
or anywhere else that would limit an inspection
- Read and sign your contract, and have payment or other arrangements made
- Be present for the walk-through after the inspection is completed.
- Write down your questions and concerns about the home, and present
them to your inspector during the walk-through. Your inspector
will carefully go over the entire report with you, including
your concerns.
- Bringing children and/or pets is not recommended. Inspections take an
average of 3 hours -- a long time to expect children to entertain
themselves.
